Elon Musk is right: we need more children and more people. But we don’t need them to run a corporate machine; we need people who can care. Real care means nurturing children, nourishing forests, helping the disabled, and conserving limited and valuable resources.
However, we cannot have human lives and caring if we continue to support technology and corporations that exacerbate inequities and environmental destruction–we cannot do well if our supply chains collapse, our finances fail from inflation, and if we depend on expensive, evolving technology to run our infrastructure during a blackout.
Privation and environmental devastation has an impact on joy, on our fertility, and upon our declining physical and mental health.
Pollution isn’t sourced only from chemicals, but from electromagnetic exposures. All of our technology and electricity necessarily emits electromagnetic fields. Instead of regulating these fields based upon science and safety, Massachusetts has done… nothing… and the federal government has deregulated.
The federal government does not adopt a cautionary approach with respect to pollutants, because our courts generally mandate proof of guilt even for corporations. Yet, for electromagnetic exposures, any state could prove guilt with respect to cancer and infertility (for both men & women), but none have.
Evidence also exists showing harmful mental and ecological effects (some references below), but these are also neglected, in part as industry falsely faults the science and pays for opposing studies to manufacture doubt. Constant scientific demonstrations of harm have thus just been waved away with media support. Yet, this denial hurts those within media, hurts the public, and everyone.
Honestly, we cannot halt all electromagnetic exposures, since Pandora let tech out of the bag. But we can demand safer working conditions, safer public buildings, and replace technology in our homes and anywhere clearly useless given community support. It is possible to reduce electromagnetic fields through software design, shielding, ‘off’ options, and using wires instead of wireless antennas for connectivity. This is legislation we can put forward in Massachusetts through a petition initiative (signature drive) for a voter-approved ballot question.
Our ballot proposal includes critical corporate and public mandates:
- 🔌 Wired Access: Begin establishing safe, wired internet options in private and public spaces.
- 📉 Drastically Reduce Signals: Direct systems to transmit minimal data, instead of sending wireless signals every minute, and to provide offline operations wherever possible.
- ⚡ Safer Power Lines: Require utility companies and corporations to reduce fields and to filter out harmful “dirty electricity” from entering your home.
- 🛑 The Right to Free Opt-Out: Give every homeowner the clear legal right to decline wireless smart utility meters at zero cost.
- 👨‍🎓 State Monitoring & Advice: Increased expertise for state regulatory advice & oversight.
- ⚖️ Accountability: Penalize corporations for any failure to comply.
Our 2026 proposal will be submitted to the Attorney General as required for certification, and include our prior approved 2025 submission in addition to advanced revisions. Approval requires adhering to the constitutionally required single subject rule, which means we must limit the proposal. For public support, we also cannot demand an end to all wireless functionality.
We need state legislation with strong penalties to mandate protection, and even to allow room for life offline. Marketing ploys insist we all need and want technology, but we are not being given a choice.

On a personal level, we can take small steps to reduce exposures. The surest option at home is to simply press delete on technology.
Looking ahead, even if wireless exposures continue, we all need to embrace offline alternatives not just at home, but everywhere for environmental health and to shift the power away from online criminals and technological misuse.
The people have more power offline. When it comes to empathy, adaptability, and ecological efficiency, humans easily defeat robots. Yet, the ultra-wealthy continue to waste unimaginable resources on AI and robotics. The existential threat we face isn’t a lack of artificial intelligence, but the emotional and ecological blindness of the greed driving our world to ruin.
This structural crisis is the direct result of a multi-decade corporate strategy. In 1971, corporate lawyer Lewis F. Powell Jr. authored a memo urging the business elite to aggressively influence politics, education, and the media to shield corporate interests from public scrutiny. Today, concentrated corporate wealth harnesses media, funds biotechnology, and seeks society’s full digital integration—falsely assuming that pervasive technology is safe, defined, and controllable.
Corporate legal privileges have undermined our resources. The United States of America came into being to establish ‘fair’ trade and neglected to even protect our environment. Federal courts have expanded reach far beyond trade to rescind social and environmental state laws. Environmental devolution has proceeded ever since and backfires on everyone, not only the poor.
People are able to care for others and the planet, and we interact with each other daily. By rescinding social protections, human investments, and undermining government integrity, we have created an environment that enables the worst human traits, harms innocents, and pollutes.
This short-term monetary strategy has entered the digital space. Weaponizing every wireless and digital connection–cellphone, utility, bar code, smart appliance, email, biometrics–for an ocean of wireless data compromises security, health, and wastes land and water resources for intensive surveillance and shenanigans.
[No wonder our tax dollars are being funneled into new gas pipelines, massive electric grid and alternative energy infrastructure, and endless grants for localized antennas and soaring satellites: more means more surveillance and control. No wonder everything we buy–toasters to electricity–now tracks everything we do. Marketing insists we need and want technology, but we are rarely given choice in the matter.]
This ballot proposal protects our communities by requiring environmental and public health. Even the requirements to enhance offline and wired functionality incidentally reduce constant tracking and energy draw, because each wireless generation has greater energy consumption.
Instead of investing in technologies born from fear and control, our true security lies in prioritizing community cooperation, ecological sustainability, and public health safety that respects all life.
Let’s start with the electromagnetic backfire, neglected by industry. This digital empire is fatally fragile. A single electromagnetic pulse (EMP), solar flare, cyber fault, or energy blackout would blind their surveillance and leave their compounds defenseless. An EMP, cyber or energy war would hurt us all, but community cooperation could be a lifeline.
Secondly, this wireless empire harms everyone.
Short-sighted industry executives dismiss massive water consumption, billions of online users drawing energy, and toxic earth mining disrupting our water and soil as entirely solvable by their ‘amazing’ technology or [dangerously unregulated] nuclear technology. Tech electromagnetic emissions are not on their radar or dismissed with a wave. Are we all as rash?
Instead of logically reducing our energy and water footprints, the wealthy are turning up the pressure, requiring digital employment and lives, which will lead that much sooner to thirst, hunger, and a stalled Atlantic current (AMOC). This technology is a killer.
Opting out of technology is a small step towards ecological and social balance. Because our communities need the resilience and security, we need to learn new skills. And for those times when we must use technology, we need parameters in place for everyone’s safety.

Lastly, just one more example, relevant to climate and satellites:
According to Dr. Livio Guiliani, PhD, Director of Research for the Italian Health National Service and spokesperson for ICEMS (dot edu), we forget that wireless, like the sun, is non-ionizing radiation capable of warming. Dr. Guiliani’s expertise is credible: not only did he graduate laurea cum laude with a mathematics degree in 1974, but he has examined electromagnetic exposures in relevant government positions such as the Italian Nuclear Energy Committee.
To understand his point, microwave ovens use a wireless frequency comparable to WiFi (2.5 GHz) for heating and cooking. These ovens use a high density of wireless waves to shake and thus boil the water molecule, heating food. Beyond ovens, microwaves used for wireless connectivity can cause warmth or heating, depending on the density of wireless antennas and the frequencies utilized.
Dr. Guiliani has stated that the FCC’s authorization to cover the world with satellites will add heat equivalent to 1 percent of the sun, and that this is the same amount the sun currently gives to our biosphere. Because the FCC lacks such scientific expertise and is directed by lawyers, we need to ensure that science is heard. In other words, we need experts to examine this issue, especially since the FCC has a history of dismissing state authority and all expert advice. Here is his statement:
If they will succeed in covering more than 95% of lands, and if they will exceed only 30% more than IEEE and ICNIRP reference levels for microwaves with regards to ordinary people, we’ll have a cover of almost all lands at 13 W/kg. Indeed reference level of IEEE and ICNIRP for people and microwaves is 10 W/Kg.
But 13 W/kg is 1% of the solar constant (1,3 kW/sqm).
Half of the solar constant is reflected, a quarter supply the cycle of water. The residual energy is absorbed by deserts and earth surface. Only 1% is exploited by biosphere.
They (FCC, Elon Musk and Co.) want to pour on the earth the same quantity of energy that the sun releases to our biosphere.
While ONU debates around the greenhouse effect (which will keep a part of the released energy from satellites upon lands)…
We need interim exposure limits based on PP – 0,1 W/sqm as in some Countries of Europe and in Russia, or less – and interim quality standards based on ALARA – 1 mW/sqm, as in the Resolution of Salzburg (2000), or less- and interim limits for occasional exposures (not valid for earth cover from sky) deduced from the thermal threshold, having applied a safety factor equal to 100 (as in IRPA Guidelines 1989, instead 50 as in IEEE, 1992, or ICNIRP, 1998, standards), recognizing the thermal threshold at 2 W/Kg. Thus we could have occasional exposure limits like global exposure limits in China (or less, if we consider the thermal threshold for drugs-dependent people at 1 W/Kg as early Jones suggested; on the contrary today some researcher is encouraged to propose new higher thermal threshold in order to increase current limits: F Adibzadeh, M M Paulides, G C van Rhoon. Otherwise electrosmog will be not only a health hazard but also an environmental and climate hazard!
