Municipal elections will be held in some towns and cities, as listed below. Please visit one of the polling places of these towns independently with a petition to get signatures from voters.
A city or town may choose to open the polls as early as 5:45 a.m. Check with the election office to find out if it opens before 7 a.m. on Election Day.
The law on standing by polls is not clear, for it is not allowed to obstruct polls, lobby for candidates or wear related campaign pins, etc., except from 150 feet away. However, initiative petitions for other causes (not candidates) should be okay. If you live near a polling place, you can even set up a table in your yard with big signs to invite signatures.
